Maurine Hatfield (writing under the pseudonym Nita Epoc) and her husband of thrity-five years are the parents of two sons and six daughters. They have thirty-five grandchildren. Nita was a school teacher and has taught children in various church settings since she was sixteen years old. Her writings reflect her love for people and are influenced by experiences with her family and students. She wrote her first poem when she was eight years old and has been writing ever since. Nita has composed hundreds of poems and short stores, a novel, and two picture books, which she has shared with family and friends. No One is MORE Wonderful than You Are is the first work she has chosen to publish.
